10 Golden Rules to Follow when Launching your Own Podcast
Rule # 1 – KNOW THE POTENTIAL
Did you know that 43% of the North American population listens to spoken word audio daily (that includes podcasts, meditations, sleep stories, etc.)?
And that percentage growth of listener numbers went up 180% from 2019 to 2020 (and is on track to double from 2020-2021). Aka…there is no shortage of ears because people are hungry for content through different mediums!
On top of that, 63% of listeners have bought a product they heard advertised on a podcast (you can even promote your own products!)
There are so many opportunities that are available to you that can benefit yourself and your business, including the incredible opportunity to build trust with your listeners and eventually sell to them.
The Visionary Life Podcast: Season 9 Update!
I am writing this blog during a short break from recording and producing the Visionary Life Podcast.
I always take breaks between seasons in order to reflect on the direction of the show, and consider how I can improve it for you - the listener!
Side note - I still can’t believe I’ve been hosting this podcast for 9 seasons.
The premise of the show has always been to promote successful entrepreneurs, creative thinkers, and visionaries like you - so that you feel less alone on your journey of pursuing everything you want out of life.
Being a ‘visionary’ can be a lonely journey, which is why I created a space where big sky thinking is welcomed and encouraged.

Charlotte Batty of Minii Adventures Mountain Biking Experiences - Client Profile
Meet Charlotte Batty.
She is the founder of Minii Adventures Mountain Biking Experiences headquartered in Ontario, Canada.
If you had asked Charlotte just 1 year ago whether she was looking to work with a Business and Marketing Coach, the answer was “No!”
She had already been running her own business, Minii Adventures Mountain Biking Experiences for 4 years when the pandemic hit and things were going well.
But with the surge of interest in people wanting to be active outdoors during lockdowns, she began to see a huge growth within her business-- growth that she was unsure of how to keep up with.
“In terms of marketing, I was just throwing everything at the wall...I was lacking vision, lacking organization on the back-end, and I had a lack of clear direction.”
Kerri Jackson Financial Coach - Client Profile
Two years ago, Kerri Jackson and I became acquainted when I taught her the Business and Marketing Course at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. She was a student in my class!
Now, Kerri is a Financial Coach and has her own business helping women who are single, divorced or separated to shift their financial situation and to give them the confidence they need to gain control over their financial situation: a niche market where Kerri is experienced and qualified!
Kerri is a trusted support system for women going through big life changes and relationship shifts, and I was honoured to support her inside of The Visionary Method™ with private business and marketing coaching.
But Kerri didn’t always have her unwavering confidence when it came to stepping into launching her business as a Financial Coach.
