Starting this week, I'm recording season 10 kicking off with a live podcast recording in Toronto on Friday, September 16th. I am interviewing the founders of midday squares, this company has been one that I have been admiring from afar. They are a family run business and they are a chocolate tear company and they're from Montreal.
I asked you what you want me to talk about on the final episode of season nine. 67% of you voted for how to use social media to grow your business. The good news is that there is no one right social Media Strategy. The bad news is, even if I gave you my social media secrets, you would implement them yourself. The key is to experiment with where your content performs well, and where your dream clients are most receptive and how they're actually engaging with you.
If you're just posting and blasting messages, but no engagement is happening, your social media isn't working for you. So at the end of the day, your goal is to make sure that no matter what social media strategy you are implementing, that it is driving click throughs and that it's driving conversation. I want you to start sharing behind the scenes of your life as a nutritionist, what you eat, what supplements you take, talk about your stories, your journey, and do that in video form using Instagram stories. And he's been paying hundreds and hundreds of dollars per month, month over month just waiting, hoping, praying, wishing, wishing. And sure enough, there are these disgustingly ugly graphics, like they look like they're from the 80s or the 90s. Are you trying to connect with people or increase your brand awareness? Do you want to drive traffic to your website or grow your online following?
Once you've identified your goals, you can actually create content that aligns with these objectives. One of the greatest blessings of having an Instagram for the last eight years is that I have been able to practice writing.
I use a program called jasper.ai and it's an artificial intelligence copywriting program. You can tell it to rewrite this paragraph to be funny, or rewrite this sentence to be powerful. Or rewrite this story to be more inspiring. And it's so cool to see the very same pieces of content slightly transformed to be bold. I don't want to be like Lottie, das spiritual person, I want to share truths of what it takes to run a business.
I want people to feel empowered, and a certain assertiveness and strength to the programs I've created and to the coaching that I offer. Tip number four for creating a winning social media strategy is to know your audience know your dream clients.
I want you to think about the friction points or the problems that your dream clients have on a daily basis. These days, I'm on Instagram stories and I'm looking for more informative type content, more like health, fitness behind the scenes, etc. So if you know what those friction points in your clients life are, you can easily create some compelling social media content to help them navigate that. And don't forget to include calls to action. Having a winning social media strategy is all about doing stuff you actually enjoy.
So if you don't like writing, don't write record videos, audio or video, find something you actually like to do. There's something for everyone. But at the end of the day, you've got to find something that lights you up where content creation feels fun and easy. And where you're getting a ton of response.
