Living Visionary: Catching up with the incredible members of the Visionary Community!
In this series, I’ll be catching up with the incredible member of our Visionary Community from past and present.
This is a project that I started while I was on Maternity Leave (#VisionaryMama) with my first baby as a way to stay plugged in, inspired and rooted among the community of clients and students that I’ve supported over the last (almost) 8 years.
Enjoy, and if it feels appropriate please support their amazing businesses!

Bio…
Barry and Tammy are a husband and wife golf performance coaching team who specialize in helping the over-50-golfer to play the best golf of their lives while improving their health and mobility.
Barry is a PGA of Canada Golf Professional with over 30 years of experience as a coach and mentor. Helping others with their golf is his passion. He is Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified and Dr.Kwon Level 1 & 2 Certified Golf Biomechanics Instructor. He suffered from chronic back pain for over 20 years, as well as arthritis in his shoulders and tried many forms of treatment and fitness training, all good and he continued with many. But nothing had any long lasting positive change until he found Block Therapy, a unique self-care fascia release technique, and changed his body from within. There is a better way to play golf without swing limitations and chronic pain, and to live your best golf life possible!
Tammy has been a coach and competitive amateur golfer for over 30 years. She is a Certified Block Therapist, Fascia Fitness Trainer, Yoga for Golfers Instructor and Certified Jack Canfield Success Principles Trainer. She is also a five-time provincial amateur golf champion and twelve-time national championship participant, being coached by her husband, Barry. She discovered, both in golf and in life, that getting better isn’t just about improving technique and getting in more practice. Achieving better performance on the outside needs to come from the inside, both in body and mind.
We love to travel in the winter (get away from snow and cold) to nice warm climates and golf and do nothing (well maybe a little work too!)

Recent milestone you’ve celebrated in your business?
5 years in business
Favourite way to wind down after a long workweek.
Go play some golf, do some block therapy and watch movies.
Before starting my workday, I make sure to…
Do our block therapy practice together (fascia release), stretching and a light and simple strengthening routine, only 30 minutes or so total..
Best part of my work is…
We are our own boss and set our own hours, and we get to meet and help golfers from all over the world.
Tips for someone who is hesitant to follow their heart and start their own business?
Stick with your gut intuition, it is usually right 99% of the time. But be sensible about it, don’t quit your day job until you have some solid footing in your dream job.
Last vacation you took (and where did you go)…
January 2024, Maui!!
Bucket list vacation that you hope to embark on in the next 5 years (where to and why?)
The Masters Golf Tournament, Augusta, Georgia - because we have never been and that is one of the pinnacles of golf for us.
Back to Ireland - to reconnect with family and play some golf
New Zealand or Australia - just because we’ve always wanted to visit that side of the world.
