Living Visionary: Catching up with the incredible members of the Visionary Community!
In this series, I’ll be catching up with the incredible member of our Visionary Community from past and present.
This is a project that I started while I was on Maternity Leave (#VisionaryMama) with my first baby as a way to stay plugged in, inspired and rooted among the community of clients and students that I’ve supported over the last (almost) 8 years.
Enjoy, and if it feels appropriate please support their amazing businesses!

Bio…
Dr. Corradetti-Sargeant was destined for a career in Naturopathic Medicine – she’s part total science nerd and part no-holds-barred health nut. During her undergraduate studies in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario, she learned that conceiving would likely be a struggle. She worked with a naturopathic doctor to overcome these issues and it became clear to her that becoming a naturopathic doctor was her destiny.
She studied at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon and the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario. She is licensed through the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, and is a professional member of the Canadian and Ontario Associations of Naturopathic Doctors, as well as the Endocrinology Association of Naturopathic Physicians. She is also licensed to prescribe a small schedule of pharmaceuticals granted to naturopathic doctors, and has completed training in intravenous therapy.
She treats her patients with personalized, functional, and integrative medicine. With special interests in fertility, she is passionate about empowering her patients to make healthy changes that help them conceive.
When Dr. Corradetti-Sargeant is not seeing patients, she’s running triathlons, contributing to magazine articles (look for her in Clean Eating and Elle magazines), or making a giant mess in the kitchen whipping up the latest healthy desserts!

Always…
Advocate for yourself. You often know your body best of all. You’ve been living in it your whole life. If something seems off don’t hesitate to speak up for yourself.
Never…
Ask Dr. Google a question without expecting to get way too much information in response. Information that may not be specific to you and your body’s needs.
The internet is full of too much information and you may not have enough understanding to interpret it properly. Be sure to speak with your healthcare provider before going too deep down the Google rabbit hole.
Advice for other entrepreneurs, who are slightly less far along…
Stick with it. I’m 10 years in and am just starting to find my stride.
Tool, resource, podcast, book or person you’ve invested in that’s added value to your entrepreneurial journey
Obviously Kelsey Reidl! She’s the best. I am hired a VA in 2023 and that has been amazing (Megan Hutton of Fallow Fox Virtual Services). I love my Effic Dayplanner, too.
Tell us more about your business (what do you do, who do you help, what does your workday look like, how do people find out about you).
As a fertility-focused naturopathic doctor working within a fertility clinic, I spend my days helping my patients optimize their preconception health in order to conceive with or without advanced reproductive technologies.
People often find out about me through their fertility doctor, such as the ones I work with at Niagara Fertility and TRIO, through word of mouth from someone else I have helped, or through social media. I have a robust presence on there.
My day to day looks like this:
5:30am 👉 Wake up and meditate
6:00am 👉 Peloton bike or bootcamp session
6:00am-8:00am 👉 Get myself the kiddos ready for the day
8:00am-9:00am 👉 Drop the kids off at school, commute to work and get set up for my day
9:00am-3:00pm 👉 See patients (This includes consults, acupuncture, reviewing cycle sheets and blood work in the clinic)
3:00-4:30pm 👉 Chart and answer emails
4:30-5pm 👉 Pick up the kids
5-8pm 👉 Family/dinner time and usually running out to some activity for the kids
8-8:30pm 👉 Finish up any pressing work items and get the to do list out of my brain before bed
8:30-9:30pm 👉 Chill time with my husband
9:30pm 👉 Screens off, bedtime prep, and reading in bed
10:30pm 👉 Light’s out
Recent milestone you’ve celebrated in your business?
I had a record year in 2023 with over 300 new patients, over 100 pregnancies and a 40K bump in billable hours from 2022. I also brought in an acupuncturist to support my practice.
Favourite way to wind down after a long workweek.
A lovely glass of California Cabernet Sauvignon with my husband by the fire.
Before starting my workday, I make sure to…
Meditate and exercise if I’m not seeing patients at 7am.
Best part of my work is…
You would think it would be the positive pregnancy tests, and that is totally awesome, but the best part for me is really connecting with my patients.
I love to dig in and figure out what we’re missing, how they need to be supported, and seeing improvements with their health overall. I do love to receive announcement cards and emails when baby arrives, too.
Tips for someone who is hesitant to follow their heart and start their own business?
Expect the unexpected. Things always change. I never thought fertility is where I would wind up niching in my business and here I am!
Know that balance doesn’t really exist. Especially as a parent. It’s very easy to feel the constant pull between life and work. But you do get so much choice of how to build your life that it makes it all worth it in the end.
Find ways and a support network to lift you up when you’re feeling down. Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart. In fact, it can be downright challenging. Finding the support you need when you are having rough days is so important. I am sure I wouldn’t be where I am today without it.
Last vacation you took (and where did you go)…
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for my sister’s wedding.
Bucket list vacation that you hope to embark on in the next 5 years (where to and why?)
Well, we are headed to the Gleneagles hotel in Auchterarder, Scotland in August to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. That’s been on the list for me for almost a decade. After that I would like to hit up Greece. It’s been on my bucket list for a very long time.
