108 Growing the Business from a 3 Person Brew-Crew to a Cold Brew Coffee Kingdom!

How to start a Cold Brew Coffee Company with Station Cold Brew

This week I sit down with Mitchell Stern the current Co-Founder + Sales and Marketing Director of Station Cold Brew.

Coffee is one of my greatest daily pleasures. Tell me I am not alone…

Whether it’s catching up with a friend over coffee, sipping on an espresso pre-workout to boost my energy, or cracking a cold brew as I get into flow state when there’s serious creative work to be done… a cup of GOOD java is a staple in my life, and likely most of yours.

That’s why I am so excited to share today’s conversation with Mitchell Stern (Co Founder & VP of Marketing and Sales) for Station Cold Brew Coffee.

Station was born to broaden the possibilities of your daily coffee ritual without having to compromise your health.

Their Vanilla Cold Brew is seriously next level as a mid-morning pick me up. Trust me.

Listen to this weeks episode with Station Cold Brew Co-Founder, Mitch Stern

My awareness of Station goes back almost 6 years to a moment when Dave and I were shopping at a small store in one of Toronto’s West End Neighborhoods.

Upon leaving the store, we were met with one of the most enthusiastic human beings and he was sampling something that neither Dave or I had tried before, and that was Station Cold Brew Coffee.

Fast forward many years, I’ve watched Station create the most incredible brand using innovative marketing strategies and time honoured approaches to growth, like paying close attention to each and every interaction they have with their community, and finding friends rather than followers.

My conversation with the co-founder, Mitch is honest, it’s thought provoking, and you’ll quickly notice that  he’s not afraid to be REAL and share the true highs and lows over the almost 6 year journey building this start-up into a Cold Brew Coffee Kingdom.

In the following 45 minutes, we hit on the topics of...

  • Breaking the stigma that “everything is awesome” when you’re an entrepreneur

  • How Station grew from a 3 person team to a 12 person team in the past 6 years

  • The entrepreneurial roller coaster ride (it’s real!)

  • Resilience: as a necessary characteristic of any business owner

  • Top marketing tips that have helped Station grow their brand reach & awareness

  • The value of your network (hint… it’s EVERYTHING!)

  • Knowing what you’re good at and then surrounding yourself with awesome people

  • & MORE
