Aaron Armstrong is the owner of Blue Wheelbarrow Farm in Prince Edward County, Ontario, a 3 acre organic vegetable farm specializing in baby greens, salad mixes, and tomatoes. Cultivating community, celebrating the harvest, and feeding people fully is the foundation of his farm and business. His produce can be found in over 20 different County restaurants and shops, as well as at the weekly Wellington Farmers' Market and at his farm stand on site. The farm is now starting its 4th season of operations, but Aaron has be working in the field (literally) of organic vegetable farming for the past 10 years. Born and raised north of Toronto in Simcoe County, Aaron spent 6 years learning the best and most productive methods of organic farming around the world (working, interning, and wwoofing throughout Ontario, British Columbia, Hawai’i, France, England, Scotland, Greece, Italy, and New Zealand) before bringing his favourite methods together to create his own farm in the spring of 2016.
