Living Visionary: Catching up with the incredible members of the Visionary Community!
In this series, I’ll be catching up with the incredible member of our Visionary Community from past and present.
This is a project that I started while I was on Maternity Leave (#VisionaryMama) with my first baby as a way to stay plugged in, inspired and rooted among the community of clients and students that I’ve supported over the last (almost) 8 years.
Enjoy, and if it feels appropriate please support their amazing businesses!

Bio…
Evie is a Brand Photographer and Copywriter from Brantford, Ontario. She’s a mom of two adorable girls and married to her high school sweetheart.
After 10 years of working in the Banking Industry and after having her second daughter, Evie was desperate for a change in her life. Specifically one that involved her having the freedom to be with her girls on her own terms. She had experience in shooting family photography, but while learning about how to build a photography business she stumbled upon Brand Photography and has specialized in that ever since.
Evie has developed her Brand Photo Experiences for service providers who are tired of their Brand photos looking the same as everyone else’s. Using an in depth planning process she allows her clients’ brand to speak for itself and plans each creative detail to match the brand personality.
When developing her own brand, Evie fine tuned her Copywriting skills. Seeing how words and photos can go hand in hand for a brand, she started offering Copywriting as a stand alone or add-on service.
When Evie’s not helping service providers show up with confidence in their photos and written content, she can be found with her family, dancing in the kitchen, reading a book or sipping on a hot cup of English Breakfast Tea.

Tell us more about your business (what do you do, who do you help, what does your workday look like, how do people find out about you).
I work with coaches and service providers to bring their dream brand to life through brand photography and copywriting.
Through in-depth questionnaires and planning sessions I get to the root of my clients’ brand so we can infuse that into their photography and their words (on their website, blogs, social media content and email marketing).
Since I just quit my part-time job (March 28, 2024) my days will look quite different. Soon I’ll be working from home, most likely from my kitchen table. I take client calls, prepare for photoshoots, write for clients, write and create content for myself and connect with my community.
Most people find me through word of mouth and Instagram however I’m working on getting my website up there as well!
Recent milestone you’ve celebrated in your business?
Quitting my job at a credit union!!! I’ve been there for 10 years and was ready for a change 10 years ago. Having my second daughter was the push I needed to create something for myself.
Favourite way to wind down after a long workweek.
Home date with my husband. When the kids go to bed we make up a nice charcuterie board, get something nice to drink (most likely non-alcoholic for me) and watch a movie or tv show.
Before starting my workday, I make sure to…
Make a list of what I want to accomplish in the workday.
Best part of my work is…
Working with incredible people and doing work that brings me so much joy.
Tips for someone who is hesitant to follow their heart and start their own business?
It’s a difficult and scary road, but it is 1000% worth it.
Last vacation you took (and where did you go)…
Family trip to Kalahari Waterpark Resort in the Poconos… my husband works in the pet industry and had a tradeshow there so we went along with him and my in-laws. It’s a super cool place. Before that was Hard Rock Punta Cana for my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary.
Bucket list vacation that you hope to embark on in the next 5 years (where to and why?)
My dream for 10 years was to go to Ireland and we went in our 2nd/3rd year of marriage. It was everything I dreamed of and now I just want to go back.
England and Ireland have my heart, I can’t explain it.
I’d also love to see the northern lights - maybe from Iceland one day.
