Here’s a sneak peak at my prep notes for the show…

Intro:

  • When I was studying Nutrition 8 years ago, I think you were in my ears - did you have a podcast back then?

  • Take us back to the origins: why did you begin your journey in the Health and Wellness Space? Did it begin with your days as a pro athlete?

  • You had a company where you were seeing 100’s of clients, selling products, writing books etc. You described the business as majorly complex.

    • First time you productized your service- workouts on tape

    • Eventually, you decided to Move away from low impact low touch low price to high impact, high touch, high relationship, high price

  • There’s been quite an evolution from there - now you run Healthpreneur where you Help Health & Fitness Professionals Who Want to Scale Their Coaching Business Online - Faster and without The Grind.

    • Why did you pivot into this space? What do health coaches need this information?

    • Why do most health coaching businesses plateau after a few years? What are some common mistakes you see?

Scaling:

  • Define scaling - we hear that word all of the time, but how do you define scaling a business

  • Who is ready to scale and what needs to be in place before scaling happens

  • You say that…. Why Social Media Can Actually Be One of The Most Expensive Ways to Grow A Business Online For Small Business Owners

Business & Entrepreneurship:

  • What have been some of the most rewarding parts of running your online business

  • What’s something that most people don’t realize about running an online business

  • It looks like you did In Person Events at one time - what purpose did they serve in your business

  • What’s working now in terms of growing your audience

I want to chat about “The core 10 principles that you have identified as being common threads among the most successful health business”

  1. You are responsible for your business - not a consultant, not an agency. My word of the year is ownership and it’s something I am very adamant about practicing. Have you always had a mentality of ownership over your own career?

  2. Business Growth Always Follows Personal Growth - do you have an example of this that you can share, from your own life?

  3. Your Success Is Determined By Your Systems - The big shift most health pros have to make, if they want to escape seeing clients all day long, is the decision to become a business owner, instead of a self-employed technician. Can you explain the difference between a business owner and a self employed person

  4. If It’s All In Your Head, Your Business Is Dead - you encourage coaches to extract your intellectual property, your knowledge, and your vision into training, frameworks, and systems that can be easily understood and replicated by others.
