5 Tips for Getting on TikTok for your Business in 2022
5 Tips for Getting On TikTok for your Business in 2022 | The Visionary Method
I’m going to share 5 tips with you which have helped me get started on TikTok and I hope they are helpful for you.
Don’t worry, if you are not a TikTok user right now, you can still apply these tools to other social media platforms and come back to them if you do decide to launch your TikTok account.
TikTok, like other social media platforms, will take time and energy to execute properly for your business– so be sure you have a couple spare hours per week to invest into your TikTok Account Growth!
In order to grow a following, you’ll need to post consistent content that is high quality in the eyes of your followers. So, the worst thing you can do is try it for one week and say it’s not for me (because you aren’t seeing results). Stick with it and experiment with new content consistently for at least 90 days before deciding whether it works or not!
If you are ready to get started on your TikTok journey, here are five tips to help you ⬇️
1. What is your mindset towards TikTok
The secret key to any social media platform is about being consistent and Tik Tok is no different.
So…
What are your hesitation around dedicating more time to this new platform? Do you have any?
If so, write them down.
You have to remind yourself that starting anything from scratch isn’t easy! I want to make sure you are starting your journey on the right foot by purging your limiting beliefs.
Afterall, you could have rapid success like Jordan who is inside of our Visionary Method Community. His video has over 127,000 views!
2. You need a STRONG foundation for your TikTok Account
Before starting your TikTok Account, it’s important to have the right foundation in place. I want you to take the time and reflect on following items:
WHO is your Tiktok for?
WHAT content will you be creating?
Which UNIQUE BRILLIANCE will your account have? (we study this in The Visionary Method™)
Have you mapped out your FRICTION-LESS Funnel? (we ALSO study this in The Visionary Method™)
Let’s dive deeper into each one:
WHO is your Tiktok for?
Who is that one person or dream client that you are creating content for?
This is where you are going to create the avatar of your Visionary Dream Client (aka your V.D.C). Once you are clear on your V.D.C, creating content will become way easier.
Here are some examples:
I create Book Review Content for men who are obsessed with personal growth books.
I create content for moms who are recently postpartum and look for support and affirmation that they’re doing a great job
WHAT content will you be creating?
What will you be posting on your page?
You will need to identify the major ‘buckets’ of content that you want to be speaking about on a regular basis.
I recommend when you are starting off to have at least 3 categories (aka Keto Diet Tips, Workouts, and Positive Affirmations and Encouragement).
So, what can people expect when they land on your page?
BONUS TIP: You have a couple of seconds when someone lands on your page to capture their attention. I’ve written a blog on how to write a captivating bio, check it out here.
Your UNIQUE Brilliance
What will set you apart from other accounts sharing content about similar things?
What are you bringing to your audience that is different from other TikTok creators?
How do you want one of your followers to describe your TikTok Account in one sentence?
If you have no idea what makes you different, I want you to grab a piece of paper and make a grid where you will write down all your best talents, qualities and skills.
I also want you to message 3 close friends/family and ask them the top 3 words which come to mind when they think about you.
Once you have completed this exercise you will have a list of characteristics which will give you guidance on identifying your Unique Brilliance™ .
The FRICTION-LESS Funnel
When someone lands on your TikTok account, that is their first point of content in your sphere.
The question I want you to reflect on is “how can I take my followers on a journey so that they can learn all about my business?”
Maybe you are hosting a 5-day challenge, or you have a free e-book that you’re promoting - that should be the next step after someone watches your video.
Don’t forget to call people to action.
If you don’t have anything already created, what can you do to continue building your relationship with your audience?
3. Explore and Dissect
Is there someone on TikTok who is doing something similar to you?
If so, it’s time to dissect their content. What are they doing well and not so well?
If you don’t have an account that inspires you, here is what you can do:
Use the search bar in TikTok to research your industry. Select someone with a larger following and take time to consume their content.
Take time to write down what seems to be working and/or trending in your industry and write out a list of ideas

4. What’s your Posting Schedule? How often will you share new content?
As mentioned several times in this blog, TikTok (and all social media platforms) are all about being consistent. You should decide how many times you will post on your account and maintain that schedule.
Will it be daily, weekly or monthly?
What system can you put into place which will allow you to stay on track with your posting schedule?
Be realistic, so that your followers know what to expect from you!
5. What value are you adding?
My last tip, but the most important, is asking yourself with every piece of content you are sharing “what value is this adding to my followers life”.
Always share valuable content.
Often, if our content doesn’t do well, we want to blame the algorithm– when in reality, we need to focus on creating better content.
The more value you give to your audience, the more you will see growth.
The other thing I would suggest before posting is seeing if you are able to tag any additional accounts, brands, or products in your post. You never know who will re-share your content and the more you tag, the higher your odds of being re-shared on someone else’s platforms. Which means more eyes on your business.
I truly hope these tips will help you get your journey on TikTok started. I’d love to know if these tips were helpful, let me know in my Instagram DMs.
