Marketing Tips to Help You Create Hype, Generate Leads & make sales when you’re launching your business | The Visionary Method

Are you ready to launch your next big project?

If you’re anything like me, then the thought of launching a new product or service can be pretty scary. It’s not just about creating something amazing and sharing it with the world – it also means having to put yourself out there and share your work with people who might not love what you have created. It’s exhilarating and terrifying to launch something!

That is why I want to help by sharing 3 pre-launch strategies that will help build excitement and community around your upcoming launch so that when it comes time for you to go live, the cash register starts to ring!

The best part?

You don’t need an army of followers to host a 5-figure launch!

These three strategies will help generate momentum and excitement for your upcoming launch which will ultimately lead to more sales (and hopefully 100’s of happy customers).

So let's get started! Here are my Top 3 Pre-Launch Strategies...

Let’s start with The Mindset required to have a Sold-Out Launch

I know it's not easy to launch a new product or service. But if you want success, then it’s important to approach the entire launching process with confidence and an open-mind.

You can expect that things will go wrong,

Processes will break down,

And it most certainly won’t go to plan!

Which is totally ok!

My advice is that even in the case that something doesn't go as planned - don't worry about it because this data will help us improve for next time; just hold onto the mantra "Launch quick & modify later".

Remember,

This launch is your time to shine.

This launch is your chance to transform lives.

This launch is when you become unapologetic in your pursuit of achieving your vision.

Are you ready to learn how to Create Hype, Generate Leads & Make (More)Sales, when you’re Launching your next big project?

Let’s go…

First, it’s important to understand that a launch is 3-fold in nature.

Here are the 3 steps, listed in order...

  • Build Hype - How will you get people excited and “on-board” with what you’re launching?

  • Generate Leads  - Collect customer/lead information so that you know who’s interested!

  • Create Momentum - Capitalize on the hype, and build momentum for future sales.

Now, let’s break each of these down, even further…

  1. Build Hype

One of the most underutilized elements of having a successful launch is to Create Hype, which involves getting your community EXCITED for what you have to offer!

We discuss this concept in depth inside of a recent podcast interview that I hosted with Marketing & Hype Expert, Michael F Schein >>

When you create hype inside for your business and what you’re offering, you build anticipation within your audience leading up to the launch which will begin to produce initial commitments & sales interest.

Examples of how you can produce “Hype” include…

  • Getting people to join a waitlist so that they’re first to know of your launch.

  • Sharing teasers and sneak peaks on Social Media to create curiosity.

  • Making an exciting and captivating promo video that gets your community pumped up!

  • Setting up a KickStarter Campaign with bonuses for those who pre-order.

There are so many different methods and strategies for a business owner to generate hype. Thinking outside of the box to create unique ideas will have more of an impact and establish a longer lasting impression.

2. Generating Leads is essential for your business.

Lead Generation, as it is sometimes called, is the process of acquiring prospective customers who have shown interest in your product or service, with the goal of converting them into paying clients through nurturing methods.

In order to acquire leads and nurture them, you should have a system in place that will bring Visionary Dream Clients into your world and then build trust and interest among them. This can be done by providing value through a limited time offer or freebie.

Here are a few ways you can Generate Leads…

  • Sending out Email Newsletters, and asking for an email address in order to join the list.

  • Hosting free trainings that would be of interest to your Visionary Dream Client.

  • Hosting Workshops.

  • Writing Ebooks that you give away for free.

By providing value before they even make a purchase, you’re giving potential clients a taste of what it is like to work with you and what they can expect from you.

Lead generation can be challenging to figure out! Do you have a plan in place? If you’re a small business that lacks a Marketing & Lead Gen Plan, then consider working with a Marketing Coach!

3. Experience Momentum

Success is like a snowball. It takes momentum to build, and the more you roll in the right direction the bigger it gets.” - Steve Ferrante

This is the start of something big! The effort that you put into this launch today will Create Momentum and swing the pendulum in the right direction.

Oftentimes, new entrepreneurs and business owners have difficulty seeing how their present actions can progress into something greater, leading them to wonder if it’s worth it to continue doing what they’re doing.

The answer is YES, it’s worth it!

This is setting you up for future success in addition to early success.

Remember that each potential client is unique - some are slow movers requiring more time, while others are fast movers and will jump on right away.

So how can we capitalize on the hype we’ve built to grow our momentum even more?

My advice is to consider what you can offer experientially to your dream customers that would give them a sample of your product or service, before you start selling to them.

For example:

  • If you’re a Granola Brand that makes “better for you granola with low sugar” and you’ve already received a bunch of pre-orders, the next step might be to host a Breakfast Event where you invite your customers to learn about the product while eating a delicious breakfast in a castle!

    • This type of experiential event is memorable, and leads to lifetime customers.

    • There will also be tons of social sharing and Instagramming being done at events like this.

    • Ask yourself: What's an event or experience that my Dream Customers would LOVE to be invited to? It doesn't need to be lavish! You are just calling them into your awesome world so that you can delight them and introduce them to your brand.

As you continue to build those relationships and generate that hype within your business, you start to build the momentum for growth and future sales.
