It’s no secret that I’m a smoothie-fiend.
For 3 years, I worked in sales + marketing for a major nutrition company that made protein powder and ready-to-mix shakes – and it totally converted me into a smoothie lover.
When I need an on-the-go breakfast; SMOOTHIE.
When I’m running out the door for a night out; SMOOTHIE.
When I’m packing lunches; SMOOTHIE.
When I’m too hot to cook; SMOOTHIE.
Are you feelin’ me?
As a lazy cook and fan of whole food nutrition, smoothies save the day.
But don’t get me wrong – I’m not the type to make sugar bomb smoothies. In fact, in most breakfast shakes that I make there is about 3/4 vegetables and 1/4 fruit when I look at what produce I’m adding in.
This smoothie can be veggie-enhanced with the simple addition of 1/2 an avocado, a handful of spinach & kale, or other smoothie-friendly greens.
